Is there anything in our lives that isn't being controlled by multinational corporations? The most important, life sustaining element on the planet is water and the industry and consumption of this precious resource is being controlled. Big surprise. The frightening thing to realize is that none of us can survive without water and if we don't have access to it, then we will be slaves to those who do. If you truly believe that our government will protect us from the likes of Nestle, Coke, Vivendi, Suez or the others controlling the flow of water, then you're putting a lot of faith into a corrupt system driven by one thing: money. Irena Salina's Flow does a great job at illustrating how widespread and calamitous this problem truly is. This is ultimately a human rights issue that we all need to pay close attention to.
